For All Your eNotary Needs
We offer Remote Online Notarization (RON) and In-Person Electronic Notarization (IPEN.) In 2012, Virginia was the first state in the country to enact legislation authorizing its notaries to perform online notarizations. This technology and innovation allow the notary to notarize documents located anywhere in the U.S. and abroad. Electronic notarization increases access to notarial services, provides convenience, efficiency and time-savings.

Remote Online Notarization
What is RON?

RON, also known as remote online notarization, is when a document is electronically notarized. The notary and signer are not physically together in the same location but are able to communicate through audio-video technology.
Is RON secure?

Signers are required to go through a multi-step identity verification process:

-
Knowledge-Based Authentication - This process uses a third-party database with access to public records information to provide knowledge questions specific to the signer.
-
Credential Analysis - The signer is required to capture an image of the front and back of a valid unexpired state or government issued photo ID. The authenticity of the ID is then analyzed and verified by an automated system.
-
Notary Validation - After KBA and credential analysis have been passed; the notary reviews the image of the signer's ID that was captured during the credential analysis and will either approve or reject the credential.
